Team Penning takes place every Saturday starting mid-April until the end of October.
All of our Team Pennings and Ranch Sortings are practice events with Draw Jackpots added at times. Our Pennings and Sortings are designed for family fun, beginners and practice. Half-Drafts, Walking horses, English Disciplines and Ponies have all been here to pen and they do great! We welcome beginners, feel free to come by yourself since we have many top riders that you can team up with and get you started. Contact us to get on the mailing list for special events.

Open to everyone USTPA #2 or lower - Pick your own team, Pick as many teams as you want
Two sessions, $25.00 sign-up per Session, #1 April – June, #2 August – October.
100% payback on sign-up fee paid back to top 3 teams at end of session
$20.00 entry fee per run - 50 % payback per night – winners take all
Winners of session #1 can not ride on the same team for session #2
SUBSTITUES: If one team member is absent a substitute rider my rides as long as they are signed up in the series. However a substitute riders time will be 90 and will be average into the teams time. Example: a team penning teams run time is 45 seconds.
Add 45 + 45 + 90 = 180 seconds. Their average time will be 60 seconds
OPEN: Winner will receive Montana Silversmiths Buckle plus sign-up money paid back to places 1,2, and three
NOVICE / BEGINNER DIVISION – Session Winners will receive Monogrammed Jackets plus paybacks, three places
Note: all sign-up paybacks based on number of entries. Sign-up money returned if numbers of entries do not justify having penning or sorting throughout the session, no Awards will be given for that session. Although jackpots can be continued with 50% entry fee paid back.

Entry Fee: $25.00 per show or $8.00 per class
$30.00 sign up fee for the season and you must ride in 4 shows to be eligible for year end awards
Four divisions –Open, Adult Walk / Trot, 14 – 17, 13 & under walk trot
Ribbons for 1 - 4 places in each division will be given at each show
Come ride and have fun and get entered for year end awards
